Titan Poker review

Titan Poker is the largest site on Europe’s premier network – iPoker. Launched in 2005 and regulated by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission, Titan Poker has been home to some of Europe’s biggest highrollers, including Viktor ‘Blom90’ Blom. A recent revamping of the website and software has seen Titan adopt more of a community feel, with a sportsbook, live casino and bingo all available. Titan Poker is renowned for its accessibility, with its software coming in 15 languages.

Bonus and Promotions

Titan Poker offers a standard 100% up to $500 first deposit bonus. For every $1 raked, 17 points are awarded. Club Titan is the site’s main loyalty program, with players receiving added financial incentives depending on their VIP level. A player on Silver (with a monthly points range of 5,000 to 9,999) will receive a 40% multiplication, where as a VIP Diamond player will receive a 120% boost. In turn, these points can be converted to cash at the points store. Titan promotions include Last Man Standing, where a player must continue to rake a certain number of points each day. The last player remaining in the 7,500 + bracket receives a $13,000 main event package. Other novelty benefits include a ‘best hand of the day’ and bad beat rewards.

Games

Despite being exempt from US custom, Titan Poker can still boast up to 65,000 players online during peak periods. PLO and Hold’em low/mid stakes action is intense, although there can be long waiting lists for the loosest tables. Courtesy of the Scandinavians there is a high stakes community, although play above $10/$20 is usually confined to heads-up. There are plenty of satellites running to live APT, ECPT and WSOP events, as well as independent events such as the Irish Winter Festival, with steps beginning from as little as $2. Sit n’ Go poker is also nicely represented, with super turbo, double or nothing and standard structures all available. ‘Jackpot’ SnG’s are unique to Titan and the iPoker network, with $110,000 up for grabs for players who win six tournaments in a row. Since the loyalty schemes and bonuses are all Titan points based, and points are awarded on dealt rake, this invites many tight short stackers, which can affect the veracity of the ring games. It’s possible to find a $0.10/20c game filled with players holding less than $10, so look to find the 50bb deep tables for a challenge. With the iPoker network the home of several bookmakers including Bet365 and William Hill, the influx of casino and sportsbook players means there are plenty of frisky gamblers.

Software

The Playtech software is functional and well co-ordinated. Games are easy to find with a drop down menu situated on the left of the lobby. For SnG multi-tablers, the ‘My Tournaments’ option in the lobby makes it easy to check the tournaments you have registered for. A flexible in game interface includes an instant hand re-player, four colour decks and customisable avatars. A recent software update saw the introduction of multi-currency play (the option to play in pounds, Euros and dollars), auto top up and buddy features to keep tabs on fishy opponents.

Support

Titan Poker offers great support in the form of e-mail, live chat and a toll free telephone number. It offers an impressive array of withdrawal options, including Neteller, Moneybookers, wire transfer and ClickandBuy.
